Last summer I was on the track with a group of four riders. I led the fast group, showed them the line through the chicane, braking points, where to look. They got faster. Some of them significantly so. And then Monday came, I was back at my desk, and the track went quiet.

In my previous post, I published Feedback or Not?, a little gamification of a workshop-part on how to recognize and classify different types of feedback. Where I work now, we have a book club and we read Chapter 2 of “No Rules Rules” this week. It is the one named SAY WHAT YOU REALLY THINK (WITH POSITIVE INTENT) 1 and introduces the concept of Candor. But recognizing what something is is only the first step. The real power comes from learning how to label it tactically.

I have a lot of good memories of me and my brother sitting on the floor, playing with LEGO® when we were small. We still play with LEGO® as adults, if we get a chance and I use it from time to time to visualize things.
